Forming Chapters (As of 8/18/08)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

At the end of this page is a list of upcoming Informational Meetings and New Chapter Seminars which are for prospective members who are  looking to start a BNI chapter in their borough, as well as Pre-Core Groups and Core Groups. You can attend any of these meetings (except CORE GROUP). Feel free bring business associates that are interested in building their business by referral.

YOU qualify to help form a new chapter IF...you can't find a BNI chapter to join because...

►no chapter is located in the area where you live or work.
►no chapter is meeting on a day convenient to your schedule.
►no vacancy exists because your membership category is a popular one. 

There are four types of meetings when starting a new chapter.  Informational,  New Chapter Seminar, Pre-Core and Core.

Informational Meetings : This is a weekly meeting for those in a specific area who want to help form a BNI chapter. These groups presently have 12 or less pre-approved members and are building to reach Pre-Core status within 4-6 weeks.  We will cover all the necessary steps to starting a chapter. Pre-Registration is required. You should schedule 2 hours for an Informational Meeting.

New Chapter Seminars are held periodically in each borough for those who want to start a chapter anywhere in their borough but features a regular BNI chapter meeting followed by a 1 hour BNI Director workshop. You should schedule up to 3 hours for a New Chapter Seminar.

Pre-Cores, are weekly groups that have  between 12-19 people who have been pre-approved for membership and are building their membership  to reach their required minimum number of 20 members within a specific period of time (usually 4-6 weeks).

Core Groups:  Are weekly groups that have reached 20+ pre-approved members. They are work with the Area or an Assistant Director for 6 weeks in order to launch the chapter at the Kick Off Meeting, NO VISITORS ARE ALLOWED TO ATTEND CORE GROUPS AS THESE ARE CLOSED MEETINGS. All visitors must wait until the Kick Off Meeting to attend. 

Membership is  guaranteed to those who are founding members of  a new chapter, so long as they attend and actively participate in the Pre-Core and Core Group Training Sessions! Directors reserve the right of membership refusal to anyone who does not actively participate or attend Pre-Core and Core-Group training sessions.

Queens

New Chapter Seminar:  For anyone who wants to start a BNI chapter in Queens.
